From Digital Photographs to Beautiful Wall Art

I'm not sure about you - but I love bringing photographs to life through printing. Having images on display in my home brings me joy and I love to look at these each day.

But as a busy mum - I haven't done this for quite some time, and also struggle to choose which ones to turn into print! Well, I had a spare moment and have done it, and now have some gorgeous wall art hanging on my wall! Let me show you what and how I chose...

Firstly, I thought about my space at home, and where I was going to hang my art. I decided on a wall on my living room - quite a large empty space, the perfect place to display some photographs.

Second, I had to decide which images I wanted to display. I had taken some beautiful photographs of my daughters up on the hills just out of Oxford over summertime. I love these images, and it was very hard to pick just one. I thought about it for a while and got my favourite choices down to 4 images. Phew! I then decided I could try something new and create a multi-image frame (a frame which has multiple images inside). I felt excited about this choice, as I could display my favourite 4 images together.

So, I had decided on the space, decided on the images, decided on a multi-image frame, now it was time to bring this plan to reality!

I choose to print and frame my images professionally from a local New Zealand company, who hand-make their frames, and provide high quality printing which is so important for a top end result, that will last for the years to come. I love that my photographs come back printed, framed and ready to hang on my wall.

These are the frame options I had to choose from; white, black, silver, warm metallic, oak wood grain, or dark grey wood grain. I decided to choose the oak wood grain frame, as I thought this would compliment the colours in the photographs nicely with a white mat around the images.

Next my order was sent off to the printers and framers and all I had to do was wait!

In a couple of weeks time, I had my frame order delivered to my home - this was definitely the exciting part! I couldn't wait to see my photographs printed and framed. I am so happy to see the finished product - the quality of the printing was so good, and the frame is so well made - all ready to get hung. I hung up the image on my living room wall and wow - it looks so great!

I am so happy to have my photographs of my children printed and hung on the wall - every day I am able to look at this and I will be able to enjoy these memories for the many years to come.
