Frequently Asked Questions for ECE Centres

alt=""

1. What ages do you photograph?

I photograph all ages at your centre. Every family and whānau has the opportunity to register their child. I usually start in the nursery before nap times, then work through the rest of the centre.

2. How long does a photo session take?

Each child’s session typically takes 2–5 minutes, depending on their comfort level. I will work around the centres daily routines to ensure a relaxed environment is in place with minimal disruptions to your day.

3. What do we need to prepare before photo day?

I will email a PDF information guide & a link where parents can register their child. All you need to do is share the info with families ahead of time and send out some reminders. On the day, I will work independently, alongside the educators who can help point out the children for me.

4. How do families view and order photos?

Families receive a secure, private link to their child’s online gallery. They can order prints or digital files directly—no forms or money handling required by the centre.

5. Is there a cost to the centre?

No. There’s no cost to the centre. We handle all ordering, payments, and communication with families.

6. What if a child is absent on photo day?

If a registered child is absent, I’m happy to bring my camera when I return to deliver photos and arrange a quick makeup session.

7. Can we get a group photo of the classes?

Yes! I offer group photos for each class or room where suitable. These are a wonderful keepsake for parents and children. Group photos are available as prints only (no digital files) for privacy reasons.

8. Are the photographers experienced with young children?

Absolutely. In addition to being a family photographer, I’m also a trained early childhood teacher with over 15 years of experience working with young children. This background helps me quickly build trust and rapport, so we can capture those natural, happy smiles that parents love.

9. Do you have Working with Children Checks or relevant clearances?

Yes. I hold a current police clearance and am happy to provide this upon request.

10. How far in advance should we book?

We recommend booking 4–8 weeks in advance, especially during the busy spring and summer seasons.
